30g rolled oats (or steel cut)
65ml low fat milk – i.e. 1% fat milk
30g low fat greek style natural yogurt 3% fat
30g mixed berries or preferred fruit (fresh or frozen) 1⁄2 tbsp chia seeds/ground flaxseed or chopped nuts 1 pinch of cinnamon
1⁄4 tsp vanilla
2 tsp maple syrup or honey
Mix ingredients in a bowl or sealable food container.
Cover with cling film or lid.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or over overnight before eating to soften oats. Store up to 6 days or freeze in containers for later consumption.
Thaw frozen containers overnight in the refrigerator or in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
